Here are some picture postcard snaps from Sabah. So now I realize how easy it is to take these picture postcard snaps. What these kind of pictures don't reveal is the heat. The day I took these snaps, I thought that I would die of dehydtration. We left Sabah that afternoon and, I drank about 3 or 4 litres of water in the airport. My tummy swelled up like a balloon. And, if this was not bad enough, we got into the aircraft soon after this and, I had to keep peeing all the way from Sabah to Kuala Lumpur!!
Anyway, the hotel is a great hotel. Check it out. And no, they have not paid me to write this!!
I like the traffic lines at KL. Except, a different angle would probably have been more dramatic.

nice pix really like your "traffic line" Fri 9-Apr-2004 08:11

Shots From Harbin

On Skis... Tottering
With Steven
On the Snow Bike
View all 4 photos...
Harbin was so bloody cold. So, bloody cold indeed. But, nice. At minus 20, I thought that would freeze but, I survived pretty well, I think. .
Actually, these pictures were all taken in Yabuli, about three hours by bus from Harbin. The road to Yabuli was bare, with nothing but an icy landscape. The high point was the petrol station where we all jumped off to pee. And, there was this block of yello ice in the loo . Oh well, I guess that this is where Frank Zappa got the term 'yellow ice'.
Yabuli is a skiing village where I attempted for the first and, presumably the last time, to ski. Gravity and weight were simply not my friends here.
Okay, I think that this is a much better photoblog site than many others. More cheers to fotopages, I suppose.
Anyway, the really interesting thing about Yabuli was eating in the farmet's house. Hollow walls, with fire going through them to keep us war. It was pretty nice, us sitting on a stone platform, with a fire burining below our backside, literally, cuddled up, drinking alcohol (60% alcohol content) from a tin kettle, playing footsie with the girls . Naah. Not that one really. Anyway, I need to go back next winter. I could'nt see much of Harbin as I got there too late and, sadly, because I was told that my camera shutter would crack, I did not take my own camera.

Aha,so I can see you.Not really,since I don't know which is which... Fri 17-Dec-2004 12:46
